Comprehensive guide for electrochemical simulation

Getting Started

getting started

Welcome to CycVolt

A Simple electrochemical simulation platform for cyclic voltammetry and linear sweep voltammetry. Model complex surface electrode reaction kinetics and predict voltammetric behavior with accuracy.

Video Tutorial

Watch a complete walkthrough of CycVolt features

1. Define Species

Start by defining the chemical species involved in your electrochemical system. Include diffusion coefficients, charges, and initial concentrations.

2. Configure Reactions

Set up electrode reactions with Butler-Volmer kinetics, including standard potentials, transfer coefficients, and exchange current densities.

3. Run & Analyze

Execute simulations with your parameters and analyze results. Compare with experimental data for validation and optimization.

Quick Start Tip

New to electrochemical simulation? Start with the Matlosz iodine system example in the Sessions panel. It demonstrates complex multi-species reactions and serves as an excellent learning template.
